Welcome to P7!
My name is Mr. McCance, and I am one of the Primary 7 class teachers, as well as the PE Co-ordinator for Moyle Primary School.
It has been a busy and productive start to the year in P7. Many of our students have been preparing for their SEAG exams, while others have been working hard to strengthen their literacy and numeracy skills through practical lessons, problem-solving challenges and creative writing activities.
Our World Around Us topic this term has been The Victorians. We have been discovering what life was like during this fascinating period, learning about Queen Victoria, exploring major inventions and comparing the experiences of Victorian children to our own. To conclude the topic, pupils will have the opportunity to take part in a Victorian school day, giving them a real taste of life in the past.
Later in the year, we will be studying Space, Flight and the Titanic; and we’re already looking forward to our P7 residential in March, where students will take part in a fantastic range of outdoor and team-building activities.
Next term, P7 will also be taking part in swimming lessons and basketball as part of the PeacePlayers cross-community programme.
We are very proud of how well the pupils have settled into their final year at Moyle and look forward to all the learning, achievements, and memories still to come.
