Welcome to P2!
My name is Mrs Ames, and I am the class teacher. P2 wouldn’t be the same without Mrs Campbell our teaching assistant. Together we enjoy building relationship with our P2 family.
In P2 we are growing our literacy skills. We are becoming readers and writers. We also enjoy exploring numbers using our many practical resources, including ten frames and Bar Modelling.
Our topics this year are ‘The Woods’, ‘Clothes’, ‘The Jolly Postman', ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and ‘The Beach’. These topics give us lots of opportunity to grow our knowledge and to explore these areas through play.
Our outdoor play area gives us lots of space to discover and use our imaginations. It helps to develop our motor skills and gives us opportunity to problem solve and develop our social skills in a freer and more adventurous environment.
