Welcome to P5!
We are Mrs Duncan and Mrs Weatherup and we share responsibility for teaching this P5 class. We have a range of fun topics this year including exploring Minibeasts, and investigating and learning more about Egypt, India, and the Blue Planet.
While learning about our most recent topic of Minibeasts, pupils got to go on a Minibeast hunt in our very own wildlife trail. They also got the opportunity to build bug hotels, and this linked in with our Talk for Writing unit of instruction writing for building a bug hotel.
In P5, we have a heavy focus on learning our Times Tables. We had a great day launching the Times Tables Rockstar app, which has enthused lots of pupils to participate and practice their timetables in school and at home.
Our class is also part participating in the Shared Education program where we are linked with a P5 class in in another local school. Our pupils have had the chance to send letters, meet up online and visit the class in their school, where children engaged in lots of exciting group activities.
