Welcome to P2!
My name is Mrs Johnston, and I am the class teacher. I also help look after Outdoor Play in Moyle. P2 wouldn’t be the same without Mrs Robinson and Mrs Moore, our teaching assistants. Together we enjoy building relationship with our P2 family.
In P2 we are growing our literacy skills. We are becoming readers and writers. We also enjoy exploring numbers using our many practical resources, including ten frames and Bar Modelling.
Our topics this year are ‘The Woods’, ‘Clothes’, ‘The Jolly Postman', ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and ‘The Seaside’. These topics give us lots of opportunity to grow our knowledge and to explore these areas through play.
Our outdoor play area gives us lots of space to discover and use our imaginations. It helps to develop our motor skills and gives us opportunity to problem solve and develop our social skills in a freer and more adventurous environment. Some of our best learning takes place in the classroom without a roof.
